Report: Cardinals ask to interview Bengals' Anarumo, Callahan
The Arizona Cardinals requested to interview Cincinnati Bengals assistants Lou Anarumo and Brian Callahan, sources told Peter Schrager and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
This is defensive coordinator Anarumo's first head coaching interview request. Offensive coordinator Callahan interviewed for the Indianapolis Colts' head coaching vacancy and is still considered a candidate to land the position.
Anarumo and Callahan came to Cincinnati after head coach Zac Taylor was hired in 2019. The Bengals' defense finished sixth in points per game allowed this season, while Cincy has made back-to-back AFC championship appearances.
Arizona will also talk to New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka about its head coaching vacancy Tuesday, Pelissero reports, citing a source.
The Cardinals have interviewed six candidates, including former Saints head coach Sean Payton and Steelers linebackers coach Brian Flores.
