Free-agent forward John Collins agreed to a three-year, $51-million contract with the Detroit Pistons, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The last two seasons of Collins' contract are non-guaranteed, a source told Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press.
Collins spent last season with the Los Angeles Clippers after a two-year run with the Utah Jazz.
The 28-year-old averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 69 appearances last season. He started 56 contests while averaging 27.1 minutes per game and shooting over 55% from the field. His 40.6% mark from 3-point range was also a career high.
Detroit made Collins one of its top targets and zoned in on him in free agency, Charania added. He's projected to be the team's starting power forward and a new lob threat for star guard Cade Cunningham.
Collins was selected 19th overall in the 2017 draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He's averaged 15.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game across 541 career contests.
The Pistons are coming off a 60-win season, their best campaign since 2005-06. They lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs.
