<p>Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/747" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/747">Aaron Rodgers</a> once again left his future open-ended after a crushing 30-6 loss to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round.</p><p>"I'm not going to make any emotional decisions," Rodgers said when asked how Monday's defeat affects his future in the NFL. "(I'm) disappointed, obviously. Such a fun year, lot of adversity but lot of fun. Been a great year."</p><p>The 42-year-old joined the Steelers for his 21st season on a one-year contract over the spring. He said in June that he was "pretty sure" this would be the final year of his decorated career. But the four-time MVP recently stated that he'd have "options" if he decides to extend his NFL journey.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Rodgers was also asked if he'd want to return to Pittsburgh for another year, should he decide to keep playing.</p><p>"I'm not going to talk about that," he said.</p><p>The 10-time Pro Bowler completed only 17 of 33 attempts against Houston for 146 yards and no touchdowns with one interception, a long pick-6 on his final pass of the game.</p><p>Mike Tomlin's future as the Steelers' head coach is also in question after Pittsburgh dropped its seventh consecutive postseason game. Rodgers strongly supported Tomlin despite the loss.</p><p>"This league has changed a lot in my 21 years," Rodgers said. "When you hear conversations about the Mike Tomlins of the world, the Matt LaFleurs of the world ... when I first got into the league, there wouldn't be conversations about whether those guys were on the hot seat.</p><p>"But the way the league is covered now, the way that there's snap decisions, and validity given to the Twitter experts and all the experts on TV now who make it seem like they know what the hell they're talking about, to me that's an absolute joke. For either of those two guys to be on the hot seat is really apropos of where we are as a society and league."</p><p>Rodgers has played for three NFL teams. He spent 18 years with the Green Bay Packers, leading the team to a Super Bowl title and becoming the franchise's all-time leader with 475 touchdown passes. He worked with LaFleur for four seasons in Green Bay.</p><p>The Packers traded Rodgers to the New York Jets in 2023, and the Jets released him after two unsuccessful seasons.</p>

The Rebels passer's college career will be over if the NCAA doesn't allow him to return for another season.</p><p>Ole Miss filed the waiver supporting Chambliss' sixth year of eligibility because he didn't play his second season at Ferris State due to persistent respiratory issues, according to <a href="https://x.com/PeteThamel/status/2009696157954462152">ESPN's Pete Thamel</a>.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>However, the NCAA refutes that claim.</p><p>"The documents provided by Ole Miss and the student's prior school include a physician's note from a December 2022 visit, which stated the student-athlete was 'doing very well' since he was seen in August 2022," the NCAA said in a statement.</p><p>"Additionally, the student-athlete's prior school indicated it had no documentation on medical treatment, injury reports, or medical conditions involving the student-athlete during that time frame and cited 'developmental needs and our team's competitive circumstances' as its reason the student-athlete did not play in the 2022-23 season. The waiver request was denied."</p><p>Chambliss' attorney, Tom Mars, suggested he's preparing legal action against the NCAA.</p><p>"I assume that Ole Miss will file an appeal with the NCAA," Mars wrote in a statement Friday, according to <a href="https://x.com/PeteThamel/status/2009696766187143276">Thamel</a>. "That said, there is now an opportunity to move this case to a level playing field where Trinidad's rights will be determined by the Mississippi judiciary instead of some bureaucrats in Indianapolis who couldn't care less about the law or doing the right thing."</p><p>Chambliss posted an electric 2025 season with Ole Miss to help the Rebels reach the College Football Playoff semifinal. He threw for 3,937 yards and 22 touchdowns against three interceptions while rushing for 527 yards and eight scores.</p><p>Chambliss' campaign ended with Thursday's epic Fiesta Bowl clash with Miami.</p>

But the 23-year-old had some encouraging moments in the campaign's final stretch (he ranked in the top 10 for touchdown passes and big-time throws from Weeks 14-17), setting up a promising offseason for Tennessee to build around him.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> C</p><h3>2. Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Jaguars</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 28 catches, 298 yards, 1 TD; 15 tackles, 3 pass breakups</p><p>Hunter's campaign felt incomplete with just seven games, but he played 324 snaps on offense and 162 on defense before a season-ending injury. He stood out as a pass-catcher in his final appearance (101 yards and one touchdown), but it remains to be seen if he'll have a bigger role defensively.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> C</p><h3>3. Abdul Carter, EDGE, Giants</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 43 tackles (7 for loss), 4 sacks</p><p>Carter led all rookies with 66 pressures, according to PFF, and he had two forced fumbles. However, his freshman campaign was also marked by a lack of sacks, several penalties, and disciplinary issues.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> B-</p><h3>4. Will Campbell, OT, Patriots</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 13 starts, 26 pressures allowed, 7 penalties</p><p>Campbell gave up only five sacks (two of them against Myles Garrett), and his performance suggested he'll be a cornerstone of the Patriots' offensive line in the Drake Maye era. He missed four games due to injury but is back for the playoffs.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> B+</p><h3>5. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 266 carries, 975 yards, 5 TDs; 55 catches, 346 yards, 5 TDs</p><p>Jeanty's season wasn't nearly as good as we expected. However, the Raiders are more to blame than Jeanty himself. He ranked fifth in missed tackles forced among running backs, but Las Vegas placed 30th in run-blocking, according to PFF.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> C+</p><h3>7. Armand Membou, RT, Jets</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 17 starts, 33 pressures allowed, 11 penalties</p><p>Membou was one of the few positives for the Jets' offense. He showed signs of being a solid run- and pass-blocker to form a reliable duo with 2024 first-round left tackle Olu Fashanu.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> A</p><h3>8. Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Panthers</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 70 catches, 1,014 yards, 7 TDs</p><p>Few rookies stood out as much as McMillan, who led this class in receiving yards and set a single-season record for Panthers rookies. No other Carolina pass-catcher had more than 400 yards. We may be nitpicking, but not scoring a touchdown until his sixth NFL game is one of the few knocks on McMillan's campaign.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> A</p><h3>9. Kelvin Banks Jr., LT, Saints</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 17 starts, 46 pressures allowed, 11 penalties</p><p>Banks had a slow start but closed the season as one of the league's best young blockers. Only five of his pressures allowed were sacks, and he ranked 22nd in run-blocking among all offensive tackles.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> B+</p><h3>10. Colston Loveland, TE, Bears</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 58 catches, 713 yards, 6 TDs</p><p>Injuries prevented Loveland from making an immediate impact, but the Michigan stud ultimately became a key part of the Bears' offense. Tyler Booker, G, Cowboys</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 14 starts, 25 pressures allowed, 7 penalties</p><p>Cowboys fans are used to having reliable interior linemen, and that trend will likely continue with Booker, who gave up only three sacks and also looked dependable in run-blocking.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> A</p><h3>13. Kenneth Grant, DL, Dolphins</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 33 tackles (2 for loss), 2 sacks, 1 pass defended</p><p>Miami hopes Grant's late-season progress is just the beginning, but from start to finish, his 2025 performance wasn't up to the standard of a top-15 pick.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> D+</p><h3>14. Tyler Warren, TE, Colts</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 76 catches, 817 yards; 5 TDs (1 rushing)</p><p>Warren proved he belongs in the NFL from Day 1. His production dropped in the final stretch amid the Colts' unstable QB situation, but Indianapolis should be excited about what he can do as a pass-catcher and run-blocker.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> A</p><h3>15. Walter Nolen III, DL, Cardinals</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 11 tackles (5 for loss), 2 sacks</p><p>Nolen looked solid, but it's unfair to grade his season because of the injuries. He didn't debut until November and missed the campaign's final two games, logging only 169 defensive snaps in six appearances.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> Incomplete</p><h3>17. Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Bengals</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 11 tackles (2 for loss), 1 sack</p><p>Stewart's year was marked by injuries; 280 defensive snaps aren't a big enough sample size. That said, he had only one sack in eight games, and production has been an issue for him since his Texas A&amp;M days.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> Incomplete</p><h3>18. Grey Zabel, G, Seahawks</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 17 starts, 24 pressures allowed, 5 penalties</p><p>Forget rookies: Zabel led all interior offensive linemen in run-block wins, according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46138675/2025-nfl-win-rates-top-teams-players-rankings-pass-run-block">ESPN</a>. His mobility and consistency are key for Seattle's offense. However, he fell off a cliff as the season progressed. He struggled with drops, didn't score in his final eight appearances, and posted an 80 passer rating when targeted.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> B-</p><h3>20. Derrick Harmon, DL, Steelers</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 27 tackles (1 for loss), 3 sacks, 1 pass defended</p><p>Harmon missed five games but provided stability to Pittsburgh's defensive line and strong support to its run defense. He had one sack and one QB hit against Baltimore to help the Steelers clinch the AFC North.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> C+</p><h3>22. Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 124 carries, 545 yards, 4 TDs; 32 catches, 192 yards, 1 TD</p><p>Hampton missed eight games with an injury and didn't create many big plays. But he looked capable of being the Chargers' leading back and averaged 82 scrimmage yards per game despite the team's O-line injuries. Jaxson Dart, QB, Giants</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 63.7% completion, 2,272 yards, 15 TDs, 5 INTs; 487 yards, 9 TDs rushing</p><p>Let's start with the positives: Dart sparked the offense in 12 starts, displaying playmaking ability and standing out as a rusher. At the same time, his playing style raises availability concerns, as he missed two games due to a concussion. Deep-ball accuracy also remains a question. Jihaad Campbell, LB, Eagles</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 80 tackles (2 for loss), 1 forced fumble, 1 INT, 3 pass breakups</p><p>It was a tale of two halves for Campbell, who stood out in his first seven appearances but didn't play much after Nakobe Dean returned from injury. Campbell saw 20 or fewer snaps in every game from Weeks 11-15 before his defensive workload rose with Dean sidelined again.</p><p><strong>Grade:</strong> B</p><h3>32. Josh Simmons, OT, Chiefs</h3><p><strong>Stats:</strong> 8 starts, 18 pressures allowed, 8 penalties</p><p>Simmons' limited number of appearances affected his grade. He missed four games for personal reasons and was then sidelined for the campaign's final five games with an injury. He was a relatively high draft pick, but NFL teams would've selected him much higher if they could go back in time.</p><h3>7. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Browns</h3><p><em>5th round, 144th overall</em></p><p>The jury is still out on Sanders, but we saw him make throws that most fifth-round quarterbacks can't make. Granted, he had more interceptions (10) than total touchdowns (eight) in seven starts. But Cleveland received solid value by acquiring a 23-year-old QB with upside on Day 3 in one of the most controversial falls in NFL draft history.</p><figure class="article-segment--embed"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet">

That's also the <a href="https://x.com/DanteKopFlem/status/2005858865821172192?s=20">most picks</a> by a first-year Atlanta player since Deion Sanders in 1989.</p><h3>5. Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Browns</h3><p><em>3rd round, 67th overall</em></p><p>Although his name wasn't called until Round 3, Fannin led all first-year tight ends with six touchdown grabs (tied with first-rounder Colston Loveland) while ranking second in receptions (72) and yards (731). He's another member of a standout 2025 Browns draft class.</p><h3>4. Chimere Dike, WR, Titans</h3><p><em>4th round, 103rd overall</em></p><p>Dike was a steal for Tennessee in many ways. As a receiver, he caught a respectable 48 passes for 423 yards and four touchdowns. But he shone brightest as a returner, scoring two more TDs on punt returns. Dike finished Year 1 with an NFL-high 2,427 all-purpose yards, breaking Tim Brown's rookie single-season record from 1988. Not bad for someone drafted outside the top 100.</p><figure class="article-segment--embed"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet">

Kyle Monangai, RB, Bears</h3><p><em>7th round, 233rd overall</em></p><p>What should teams expect from a Round 7 rookie running back? Certainly not the 947 yards and five touchdowns from scrimmage Monangai produced in his 2025 campaign. He averaged 4.6 yards per rushing attempt, playing an important role in Chicago's return to the playoffs.</p><h3>1. Tyler Shough, QB, Saints</h3><p><em>2nd round, 40th overall</em></p><p>Finding a quality starting quarterback outside Round 1 is rare, but the Saints may have one in Shough. As a rookie, the Louisville product made great strides after taking over as QB1 in Week 9, closing the campaign with a 67.6% completion rate, 2,384 yards, and 10 touchdowns against six interceptions. He added three rushing scores, helping New Orleans post its first four-game winning streak since Drew Brees retired after the 2020 season.</p><figure class="article-segment--embed"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet">

Ross said in a statement.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Miami made consecutive playoff appearances in McDaniel's first two years in town but didn't win any postseason games.</p><p>Although the Dolphins once had one of the NFL's most dynamic offenses under McDaniel's watch, they regressed on that side of the ball in recent years. They ranked 25th in points scored this season, down from second in 2023.</p><p>Miami's next sideline boss will inherit a team with a major question at quarterback. <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/114411" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/114411">Tua Tagovailoa</a> recently said a fresh start elsewhere would be "dope" after he was benched in the regular season's final stretch. He signed a four-year, $212.4-million extension with the club in 2024. Moving on from him would result in a $99.2-million dead cap hit.</p><p>John Harbaugh was linked to the Dolphins earlier this week after the Baltimore Ravens fired him, but Miami didn't make any contact with him before moving on from McDaniel, sources told <a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/2009286816017330217?s=20">ESPN's Adam Schefter</a>.</p><p>The Detroit Lions have reached out to McDaniel about their offensive coordinator job, which became vacant after Dan Campbell recently fired John Morton, sources told <a href="https://x.com/RapSheet/status/2009363042128052428?s=20">NFL Network's Ian Rapoport</a>. Campbell took Morton's play-calling duties midway through the 2025 season, but the Lions missed the playoffs.</p><p>With McDaniel's dismissal, the league now has eight head coaching jobs open.</p><p>Miami hired Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan as its new general manager Friday, according to <a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/2009642827932979381?s=20">Schefter</a>. They've also reportedly shown interest in Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, and Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb.</p><p>Flores spent the past three seasons helping the Vikings build a strong defensive unit. The Bucs started the campaign on a 5-1 run before losing eight of their last 11 games. They defeated the Carolina Panthers in their regular-season finale, but it wasn't enough to reach the postseason.</p><p>Tampa Bay will make changes to its coaching staff for 2026, Bowles confirmed. He said he's scheduled interviews with his assistants for Wednesday.</p><p>The Bucs have posted a 35-33 record since hiring Bowles in 2022. Instead, he's opting to enter the 2026 draft as a member of a thin class of QBs.</p><p>Simpson's widely seen as the No. 3 quarterback prospect in his class behind Indiana's <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///ncaaf/players/171730" href="https://thescore.com/ncaaf/players/171730">Fernando Mendoza</a> and Oregon's <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///ncaaf/players/184061" href="https://thescore.com/ncaaf/players/184061">Dante Moore</a>. Mendoza and Moore, who play each other in one of the CFP semifinals Friday, have yet to officially declare for the draft.</p><p>The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets own the first two picks in the 2026 draft, and both teams need a new starting quarterback.</p>

<p>The Dallas Cowboys dismissed defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus on Tuesday after one season, the team announced.</p><p>"Having known Matt Eberflus for decades now, we have tremendous respect and appreciation for him as a coach and a person," owner Jerry Jones said in a <a href="https://x.com/dallascowboys/status/2008587357839323554?s=20">statement</a>. "After reviewing and discussing the results of our defensive performance this season, though, it was clear that change is needed. This is the first step in that process and we will continue that review as it applies to reaching our much higher expectations."</p><p>Dallas missed the playoffs with a 7-9-1 record despite a high-scoring offense. The Cowboys' defense ranked last in points allowed this season, surrendering 30.1 points per game. The team was also 30th in yardage allowed.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Eberflus' unit allowed 40-plus points in three games and surrendered 30 or more points in nine games. Prior to the team's 34-17 loss to the New York Giants in the regular-season finale, he said he took "full accountability" for the unit being a disappointment.</p><p>The Cowboys' defense lost its most dangerous weapon prior to the start of the 2025 season, trading star pass-rusher <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/161667" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/161667">Micah Parsons</a> to the Green Bay Packers due to a contract dispute with Jones. Without Parsons, Dallas registered 34 sacks this season, a steep decline from the 51 it produced in 2024.</p><p>Eberflus' termination means the Cowboys will open 2026 with their fourth defensive coordinator in as many years.</p>

He became a Pro Bowler and led the NFL in passing yards in 2023 while elevating Mike McDaniel's offense.</p><p>However, Miami and Tagovailoa couldn't replicate their offensive success in 2025. In 14 starts, Tagovailoa threw a career-high 15 interceptions before losing the starting role to seventh-round rookie <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/210074" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/210074">Quinn Ewers</a> on Dec. 17.</p><p>The Dolphins, who have missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, have reached the postseason twice during Tagovailoa's tenure.</p><p>Miami signed Tagovailoa to a four-year, $212.4-million extension in 2024. Moving on from him would result in a $99.2-million dead cap hit.</p>
