Previous incidents required players to spend 10-14 days in quarantine, but an isolation period could be shorter for a vaccinated individual, adds Charania.
It's unknown whether Paul tested positive for COVID-19 or if he was in close contact with an individual who contracted the virus.
The conference finals schedule hasn't been released, though Game 1 is set for Tuesday in the event the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz go the distance in their second-round clash.
Cameron Payne will likely start in the future Hall of Famer's place if he isn't cleared to play.
