JJ Peterka's stint with the Utah Mammoth is over after one season.
The Mammoth are trading the German winger to the Boston Bruins for the 23rd overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft and a top-10 protected 2028 first-rounder that initially belonged to the Florida Panthers, reports Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Peterka tallied 25 goals and 47 points in 82 games with Utah in 2025-26. The Mammoth acquired Peterka from the Buffalo Sabres last summer in exchange for Josh Doan and Michael Kesselring.
The 24-year-old is entering the second season of a five-year contract with a $7.7-million cap hit.
He posted a career-high 68 points with the Sabres in 2024-25.
Peterka will get a chance to play under Marco Sturm, the only German head coach in the NHL.
