The Anaheim Ducks are weighing trade offers from the New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues for forward Mason McTavish, according to TSN's Pierre LeBrun.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli reported earlier Thursday that the Rangers were in advanced talks with the Ducks for McTavish, while other reports suggested there was one other suitor in the mix.
McTavish, the third overall pick in 2021, tallied 17 goals and 24 assists last season. He's scored at least 17 goals in four straight campaigns, though he's reached the 20-goal mark just once. McTavish's overall production has plateaued around the 40-to-50-point mark.
The 23-year-old is under contract for five more seasons with a cap hit of $7 million annually. He's reportedly drawn trade interest from several teams in recent months. The Ducks made him a healthy scratch for multiple playoff games.
The Rangers are looking to upgrade their roster with the hope of bouncing back from a last-place finish in the Eastern Conference. They finished first in the conference just three seasons ago.
The Blues are attempting to get back in the mix in the Western Conference after missing the postseason in 2025-26. They recently traded forward Jordan Kyrou to the Washington Capitals.
