The Jacksonville Jaguars signed tight end Brenton Strange to a three-year extension worth up to $48 million, his agents told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo on Wednesday.
Strange's deal also reportedly includes $25 million in guaranteed money. He's been with the Jaguars since they selected him in the second round of the 2023 draft out of Penn State. Strange was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next spring.
The 25-year-old had a career year in 2025, recording 46 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games. His 11.7 yards per reception ranked seventh among all tight ends.
Strange carved out a key role on Jacksonville's offense, playing 75.4% of the offensive snaps he was available for (up from 55.7% in 2024). He missed five games due to a quad ailment suffered in early October.
The Jaguars' offense took off when Strange returned from the injury, ranking second in offensive points per game and sixth in yards per play from Weeks 12-18, according to TruMedia.
Strange's new contract marks the second significant extension Jacksonville has dished out this offseason after signing former first overall pick Travon Walker to a four-year, $110-million deal in April.
