The Atlanta Falcons and tight end Kyle Pitts agreed to a three-year, $54-million contract that includes $36 million fully guaranteed, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

It's the largest three-year contract for a tight end in NFL history, Schefter adds. Pitts' new average annual salary ranks third in the league.

He was set to play the 2026 season under the franchise tag, which was worth $16.3 million. The two sides had until July 15 to negotiate a long-term contract.

The 25-year-old earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2025 while recording 88 receptions and a career-high five touchdowns. His 928 receiving yards and 51 first-down receptions were second among all tight ends behind only Trey McBride, according to TruMedia.

Pitts' extension comes a few weeks after Atlanta locked up wide receiver and former top-10 pick Drake London on a four-year, $141-million extension. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, drafted eighth overall in 2023, became extension-eligible this offseason.

Pitts entered the NFL as the fourth overall selection in 2021 out of Florida. He has 3,579 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in 78 career games.
