The Kansas City Chiefs posted a video of quarterback Patrick Mahomes throwing during the team's first day of OTAs on Tuesday.

It's unclear how much work Mahomes did, as the session wasn't open to the media. Thursday's practice will be the first one that reporters can attend.

Mahomes shared a video of himself throwing in early March, just over three months after he suffered a torn ACL and LCL in a Week 15 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.

"He is in a good position to be able to do some things," head coach Andy Reid said in early May when asked if Mahomes would participate in the voluntary sessions. "If he can do some things, (he'll do it). Phase 2 (of the offseason program), remember, there's no contact and there's no offense versus defense. It's Phase 3 that you get into that."

Mahomes has spent a significant portion of the offseason in Kansas City's training facility rehabbing the injury, according to ESPN's Nate Taylor. The star passer said in January that he's targeting a Week 1 return, which will be on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium against the Denver Broncos.

The 30-year-old threw for 3,587 yards with 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season, while the Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
