New York Giants pass-rusher Abdul Carter reacted negatively to his quarterback, Jaxson Dart, introducing President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in New York on Friday.
"Thought this sh!t was AI, what we doing man," Carter posted on X on Saturday morning.

Dart, the Giants' second-year starter, began addressing the crowd by starting a "Go Big Blue" chant. The 23-year-old later said it was an "honor" and a "privilege" to be at the campaign rally before welcoming Trump to the stage.

Trump thanked Dart to open his speech, and called the quarterback a future Hall of Famer with "a lot of talent."
Carter and Dart were both selected in the first round of the 2025 draft. Carter suited up in 17 games last season, posting 43 tackles, 23 quarterback hits, and four sacks. His 66 pressures were the most among rookies, according to TruMedia.
Dart, who started 12 games, sat behind Russell Wilson for three contests before taking the reins. The Ole Miss product threw for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 487 yards and nine scores on the ground. Dart's 91.7 passer rating led all rookie quarterbacks in 2025, ahead of Cam Ward and Tyler Shough.
New York is entering its first season under new head coach John Harbaugh after the 63-year-old was hired to replace Brian Daboll. The team's mandatory minicamp begins June 8.
