Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is determined to help lead the Detroit Lions back to the playoffs.

"I've been excited to get back to work," the star wideout told ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "I feel like last year, we had a disappointing season as a team. That's how we feel internally," the star wideout continued.

"So, I've just been excited to get back to work. I've been motivated as ever. I feel like I'm motivated every year, but this year, I feel like it was a little different."

St. Brown is coming off an incredible year that saw him earn a second-team All-Pro nomination. He eclipsed 1,110 yards for the fourth consecutive season, while posting 117 receptions and 11 touchdowns. Since the start of 2022, St. Brown ranks fourth in receiving yards behind only CeeDee Lamb, Ja'Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson.

Despite the 26-year-old's individual success, Detroit finished the season last in the NFC North with a 9-8 record, missing the postseason for the first time since the 2022 campaign. After a 6-2 start that included wins over the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens, the Lions went 3-6 in their final nine contests to finish outside the NFC playoff picture.

Head coach Dan Campbell fired offensive coordinator John Morton in January. Morton was one year into his tenure after replacing Ben Johnson. Campbell hired Drew Petzing as his replacement, who spent the last three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals in the same role.

With the Petzing hire and some offseason additions, including running back Isiah Pacheco, St. Brown believes Detroit's Super Bowl window is still wide open.

"I feel like our whole nucleus is still with us. A lot of our best players are still with us and have been with us, so I feel like when you've got the players that we have, I can go down the list of the guys - offensively, defensively and special teams ... Jack Fox, Jake Bates," the wide receiver said.

"We've got a bunch of guys on our team, so when you've got the nucleus that we have, I think you always have a shot at the big one. So, we've just got to put it together."

The Lions begin organized team activities May 27, with mandatory minicamp getting underway June 17.
