Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith avoided significant lower-body injuries and shouldn't miss any time, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Smith missed several practice sessions after reportedly being sidelined with knee and hip ailments. He underwent testing to confirm the severity of the injuries.
Smith started 15 games for Seattle in 2023. He threw for 3,624 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while leading the Seahawks to an 8-7 record. The team went 1-1 in the two contests he missed due to a groin injury.
The former second-round pick leads a quarterback room that also features offseason acquisitions Sam Howell and P.J. Walker.
The Seahawks open their regular season Sept. 8 at home against the Denver Broncos.
