Giants' Golladay: Sideline outburst was directed at Jason Garrett

New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay said he was yelling at offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and not quarterback Daniel Jones during Thursday's loss to the Washington Football Team, according to Zack Rosenblatt of NJ Advance Media.

Golladay apologized for his outburst and said it wasn't about him wanting the ball more. The wideout added that there are no issues between him and Garrett, as they spoke after the game.

"I let the emotions get the best of me," Golladay said. "Me talking to JG a little bit. That's two competitive guys right there and mostly just me just wanting to do everything I can, not so much get me the ball more, though."

The incident was captured on the broadcast, prompting questions over whether Golladay was shouting at Jones. The quarterback said he didn't believe he was the target of the outburst and that it was likely a result of the receiver's frustration with the team's situation.

Golladay was held to just three catches and 38 yards against Washington and has failed to make a mark since joining the Giants on a lucrative four-year, $72-million deal in free agency.

He's recorded just seven receptions and has yet to score a touchdown through two games. Additionally, his 102 receiving yards trail teammates Sterling Shepard's 207 and Darius Slayton's 119.
