The entire Grand Canyon men's basketball team has been placed in quarantine due to four players and two staff members testing positive for COVID-19, the school announced in a release obtained by CNN's Jill Martin.

Fourteen student-athletes and a pair of student managers will remain at a designated residence hall on campus for the next 14 days. The affected staff members will stay isolated in their respective homes for the same duration.

The four players who contracted the coronavirus are asymptomatic.

On June 1, several schools began permitting voluntary athletic activities for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball.

Members of the Antelopes reported to campus in the past week but were first placed in quarantine for 72 hours as they awaited their test results.
