NaVorro Bowman Jr., a five-star point guard in the 2027 recruiting class, committed to UConn and Huskies head coach Dan Hurley on Thursday, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Bowman is ranked No. 12 nationally by ESPN among next year's class of high-school recruits. He's the first top-15 player from next year's class to commit.
The 6-foot-3 guard out of Notre Dame High School in California started for the United States in the 2026 FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey this summer. He averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in seven games as the Americans won the tournament for the eighth straight time.
He's the son of former NFL linebacker and four-time All-Pro NaVorro Bowman, who spent seven-and-a-half seasons with the San Francisco 49ers after being drafted in the third round in 2010.
