San Diego Padres star closer Mason Miller won't be available for Tuesday's Game 3 of the NLDS after going on the paternity list.
The Padres are down 2-0 in the series and facing elimination against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Padres are without Mason Miller for at least tonight. He has been placed on the paternity list. He said he was hoping baby would come while Padres were at home so he would miss as little time as possible, but there was no way he was missing the birth of his first child.

Under MLB postseason rules, Miller is allowed to sit out a minimum of one day and a maximum of three days.
Left-hander Wandy Peralta is taking Miller's place for the game.
Miller blew a save in Game 2 after going 38-for-41 in save opportunities during the regular season.
