Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. exited Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds after fouling a ball off his left shin during the third inning.
Acuña crumbled to the field in pain before limping off with a trainer.

Acuña's X-rays were negative and he's day-to-day with a shin contusion, the club announced later.
The 2023 NL MVP has only played in 104 games this season due to multiple injuries.
The Braves won the NL East, but they're unlikely to catch the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers for the top two seeds, which would've given them a bye to the NLDS. As a result, Atlanta is expected to start the playoffs Sept. 29 in the wild-card round.
