The Minnesota Twins acquired left-hander A.J. Minter from the New York Mets, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.
The Mets received infield prospects Bruin Agbayani and Billy Amick in the trade, according to Will Sammon of The Athletic.
Minter owns a 2.35 ERA with 7.8 K/9 over 23 appearances this season. The reliever is a pending free agent after joining New York on a two-year, $22-million deal in January 2025.
The 32-year-old has a career 3.18 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 10.7 K/9 over 10 years with the Mets and Atlanta Braves.
Agbayani, whom MLB Pipeline ranked as the No. 29 prospect in the Twins' minor-league system, is the son of former longtime Mets outfielder Benny Agbayani. The 19-year-old has suited up in just 10 Single-A contests in 2026.
Amick has hit 23 homers with 72 RBIs and an .820 OPS over 86 games in Double-A this season. The 23-year-old was the No. 21 prospect with Minnesota.
