Toronto Blue Jays star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. departed Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Washington Nationals with right hamstring tightness, the team announced.
Guerrero was seen wincing while rounding first base after hitting an infield single in the third inning. He didn't come out to play defense in the fourth.

"His hamstring was a little tight, as he hit the base there, and then turned into second it was a little sore," Blue Jays manager John Schneider said postgame, according to Hazel Mae of Sportsnet.
Schneider added that Guerrero wanted to stay in. However, the skipper removed the 27-year-old for precautionary reasons.
The six-time All-Star has battled back issues this season, but he's never been on the injured list over his eight-year career.
After leading the Blue Jays to the World Series last year, Guerrero has hit only six homers with 44 RBIs and a .702 OPS over 103 games during an underwhelming 2026 campaign.
