If and when the Major League Baseball season begins, Apple TV+ will launch "Friday Night Baseball," CEO Tim Cook announced Tuesday.

The new program will hold the exclusive rights to two games per week every Friday, aired as a doubleheader with pregame and postgame shows. The contests will also be exempted from blackout restrictions.

"Friday Night Baseball" will be made available in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. Apple has plans to expand to additional countries, which will be announced at a later date.

Additionally, MLB fans in America will be able to tune into "MLB Big Inning," a show that will air every weeknight featuring live look-ins and highlights similar to the NFL's "RedZone."

It's unclear who will host the pregame and postgame shows, or which play-by-play broadcasters and commentators will be included. It's also not yet known which contests will be featured.
