Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh announced Monday that tight ends David Njoku and Charlie Kolar are being placed on injured reserve, according to ESPN.
They'll both miss at least the next four games.
Njoku was carted off the field during Sunday's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders due to a fibula injury. Kolar is dealing with an injury to his forearm.
Njoku appeared to sustain his injury while blocking for halfback Omarion Hampton. Njoku signed a one-year deal in May after spending the first nine years of his career with the Cleveland Browns. The 2023 Pro Bowler has 67 yards on six receptions through two games.
Kolar was spotted with his left arm in a sling after Sunday's game. He recorded three catches for 21 yards against the Raiders. The 27-year-old signed a three-year, $24.3-million contract with the Chargers in March after spending four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Oronde Gadsden II is the only tight end on the Chargers' active roster. L.A. could elevate Patrick Herbert, younger brother of quarterback Justin Herbert, from the practice squad.
The Chargers (0-2) face the Buffalo Bills (2-0) on Sunday.
