<p>The Houston Texans agreed to a three-year, $150-million contract extension with star edge rusher <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/188133" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/188133">Will Anderson</a>, according to <a href="https://x.com/RapSheet/status/2045190605672710427?s=20">NFL Network's Ian Rapoport</a>.</p><p>The deal reportedly includes $134 million guaranteed and makes Anderson the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. The agreement also contains a rare no-trade clause, Rapoport adds.</p><p>The Texans recently exercised the fifth-year option on Anderson's rookie contract, which would've kept him on Houston's roster through the 2027 season.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Anderson has earned plenty of accolades since the Texans drafted him third overall in 2023, including the 2023 Defensive Rookie of the Year and two Pro Bowl nods.</p><p>The 24-year-old's reported extension resets the market after a 2025 season in which he posted career highs of 20 tackles for loss and 12 sacks, earning first-team All-Pro honors.</p>

<p>New UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg tore his ACL during his title-winning fight against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 327, his manager, Ash Belcastro, confirmed to <a href="https://x.com/arielhelwani/status/2045174694609838377?s=20">Uncrowned's Ariel Helwani</a>.</p><p>Ulberg sustained the injury within the first two minutes of the opening round while battling for the vacant title Saturday in Miami. He's also dealing with bone bruising and tibia damage after continuing to fight through the torn ACL, per Belcastro.</p><p>The 35-year-old appeared to injure his right knee early in the first round of his bout with Prochazka, who appeared to be on track to become the light heavyweight titleholder for the second time in his career before Ulberg landed a counter left-hook knockout at the 3:45 mark.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"The knee felt like it was kind of going in and out of the socket," Ulberg said Monday on "The Ariel Helwani Show," per <a href="https://sports.yahoo.com/mma/breaking-news/article/new-ufc-champ-carlos-ulberg-confirms-torn-acl-suffered-in-stunning-ufc-327-title-win-he-snapped-it-161921020.html">Uncrowned's Shaheen Al-Shatti</a>. "The pain there, I couldn't bear any weight on that leg. Anytime I pushed off that right foot or step, any kind of weight on that leg, it would give out. So, that's basically it. The pain that I had to go through, too, was unbearable."</p><p>The New Zealander underwent surgery Thursday. There's no timeline for when he'll return to competition.</p><p>"He's dedicated to getting back as soon as he can," Belcastro said.</p><p>Ulberg owns a 15-1 record and is currently riding a 10-fight win streak, which includes victories over Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz.</p>

<p>Duke and head coach Manny Diaz agreed to a contract extension through the 2032 season, the school announced Thursday.</p><p>"Manny Diaz is exactly the right leader at exactly the right time for Duke University," director of athletics Nina King said in a statement. "His clear vision for Duke football, deep understanding of our student-athletes, and strong alignment with campus and athletics leadership have positioned us for sustained success in the years ahead."</p><p>Diaz guided Duke to an ACC title last season. The Blue Devils finished their 2025 campaign with a 9-5 mark after defeating Arizona State in the Sun Bowl.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The 52-year-old has led Duke to an 18-9 record over two seasons. The school hired Diaz in December 2023 following his two-year stint as Penn State's defensive coordinator. He also served as the head coach at Miami from 2019-21.</p>

He credited his teammates for continuing to believe in him.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"All they did was support me, and we went through it together and started playing better toward the end of the season," Manning said.</p><p>Arch, the nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, ultimately passed for 3,163 yards and 26 touchdowns and ran for 399 yards and 10 scores in his first season as a full-time starter.</p><p>Texas finished with a 10-3 record but missed out on a berth in the College Football Playoff following losses to Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia. The Longhorns earned a statement win over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl and Manning nabbed MVP honors.</p><p>"I wanted a chance to play for a national championship, but I was more bummed for my teammates that I didn't do enough to win those early games, that I didn't play well enough," Manning said.</p><p>Cooper Manning, Arch's father, said that the possibility of his son declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft was "never discussed in any way, shape, or form."</p><p>Arch has been a limited participant in practices during the spring session after undergoing minor foot surgery in January. "We're going into the offseason looking forward to Zion coming back next year and playing great again next year."</p><p>Williamson had one of his best seasons after back and hamstring injuries limited him to 30 games during the 2024-25 campaign. He played in 62 contests this season, his second most since being drafted in 2019. Atiabi said the comment left her emotionally distressed.</p><p>McCathern denied that Nacua made the remark but admitted that his client bit Atiabi in an act of "horseplay," per Lewis.</p><p>A hearing is scheduled for April 14, according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48306031/rams-puka-nacua-sued-alleged-antisemitic-remark-bite">ESPN's Sarah Barshop</a>. Meanwhile, prosecutors from the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office are investigating Atiabi's claims, Lewis reports.</p>

"We explored a lot of different things, and I'm very happily retired."</p><p>Brady would have to sell his ownership stake in the Raiders if he seriously considered pursuing a comeback as a player. A 2023 league policy prohibits players and team employees from holding equity in a franchise.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>A league spokesperson said that allowing an active player to own a stake in a team would create "salary-cap issues," per CNBC.</p><p>Speculation about Brady's return to the field arose after the three-time NFL MVP's impressive performance in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic last weekend. No one appreciates both the responsibility and the potential that comes with this position more than me."</p><p>Nored has served as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks over the past three seasons. The 36-year-old replaces Thad Matta, who retired earlier in March after completing the fourth season in his second stint with the Bulldogs.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Matta will remain at Butler as the special assistant to the president and athletic director. The longtime coach stepped away after leading the Bulldogs to a 16-16 record this season.
