<p>UFC will close out its 2025 pay-per-view schedule with a star-studded card for UFC 323 in Las Vegas on Dec. 6, CEO Dana White announced Monday.</p><p>Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will try to become the first UFC fighter to defend a title four times in a calendar year when he faces Petr Yan at T-Mobile Arena.</p><p>Alexandre Pantoja will defend his UFC flyweight title against Joshua Van in the co-main event. </p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>This card will be the final pay-per-view for the promotion on ESPN with UFC scheduled to air all its events on Paramount+ beginning in 2026.</p><p>Dvalishvili (21-4) already defended his belt three times this year, dispatching Umar Nurmagomedov in January and former champion Sean O'Malley in June before he secured a unanimous decision win over Cory Sandhagen earlier in October at UFC 320.</p><p>Yan (19-5) will look to avenge losing to Dvalishvili in their first fight in 2023. The 32-year-old will enter the Octagon on a three-fight win streak that includes victories over Song Yadong and Deiveson Figueiredo.</p><p>Pantoja (30-5) will attempt to successfully defend his title in a fifth fight since defeating Brandon Moreno at UFC 290 in July 2023. The Brazilian fighter secured finishes in his past two bouts, including a submission of Kai Kara-France in his most recent fight in June. Moreno will fight Tatsuro Taira on the undercard, according to <a href="https://x.com/MikeBohn/status/1977821828052922589">MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn</a>.</p><p>Van (15-2) is the No. 1 contender in the flyweight division. The 24-year-old is riding a five-fight win streak that was punctuated with a unanimous decision victory over Brandon Royval at UFC 317 in June.</p><p>The card also features a few former champions: Former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will take on Bogdan Guskov, while former two-division champion Henry Cejudo will attempt to end his three-fight losing skid in a bout against Payton Talbott.</p>

<p>Kansas City Chiefs receiver <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/199737" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/199737">Xavier Worthy</a> is expected to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens after missing two games with a shoulder injury, head coach Andy Reid said Friday, according to <a href="https://x.com/ByNateTaylor/status/1971638881532760480">ESPN's Nate Taylor</a>.</p><p>Worthy has been sidelined since the Chiefs' season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers after a collision with teammate <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/23150" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/23150">Travis Kelce</a> early in the game.</p><p>"He's been able to keep himself in good shape," Reid said.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Worthy's return provides an explosive boost to Kansas City's passing game. Known for his top-end speed, the 22-year-old recorded 638 yards on 59 receptions and tallied six touchdowns as a rookie in 2024.</p><p>The Texas product has been a full participant in practice this week.</p><p>The Ravens and Chiefs are both 1-2 entering Sunday's game. <p>New York Jets defensive coordinator Steve Wilks said Buccaneers quarterback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/76543" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/76543">Baker Mayfield</a>'s comments following Tampa Bay's 29-27 win last week were misguided.</p><p>Mayfield said the Bucs' victory over the Jets was personal because "their D coordinator was the one that cut me in Carolina," according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46387838/jets-wilks-jabs-back-mayfield-cut-carolina-claim">ESPN's Rich Cimini</a>.</p><p>The Panthers named Wilks interim head coach during the 2022 campaign after firing Matt Rhule five games into the season. Ten days after promoting Wilks from defensive pass-game coordinator, the Panthers traded star tailback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/85079" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/85079">Christian McCaffrey</a> to the San Francisco 49ers in October.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"I don't know how long you've been doing this," Wilks said to a reporter Friday, "but I'm sure you're quite educated on it. I don't really think an interim coach has that much authority over personnel. If that's the case, I would've never gotten rid of our best player, Christian McCaffrey."</p><p>Mayfield passed for 1,313 yards, six touchdowns, and six interceptions with a 57.8% completion rate in seven games with the Panthers. He compiled a 1-5 record as a starter in Carolina before the team released him that December.</p><p>Wilks said Mayfield had asked for his release after learning that he would no longer start or serve as the backup in Carolina.</p><p>At the time, Wilks told reporters: "This is a tough business. Sitting in this seat, it was a tough decision on my part, but something I felt like was the best move for the team moving forward."</p><p>Mayfield finished the 2022 season as a member of the Los Angeles Rams. He signed with the Bucs during free agency and has thrived through two-plus seasons. The two-time Pro Bowl passer led a late drive last week to help the Bucs set up the game-winning field goal.</p><p>The Panthers hired Frank Reich as head coach after Wilks' interim stint. Wilks spent the 2023 campaign as 49ers defensive coordinator but was fired after they lost the Super Bowl and didn't work in the NFL last season.</p><p>New York's defeat marked the second time this season the team has lost on a late field goal following its opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jets DC said he's responsible for his unit's struggles to close out games.</p><p>"We've got to find a way to finish," Wilks said. </p><p>The Jets (0-3) will play the Miami Dolphins (0-3) on Monday Night Football.</p>

<p>Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan dismissed the notion that the team is dumping players from the roster after it traded cornerback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/199938" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/199938">Jarvis Brownlee Jr.</a> to the New York Jets on Tuesday.</p><p>"I know the Brownlee trade is on everybody's mind," Callahan said Wednesday, according to <a href="https://www.tennesseetitans.com/news/catch-cally-what-titans-hc-brian-callahan-s-said-about-the-jarvis-brownlee-trade-and-more-on-wednesday">team reporter Jim Wyatt</a>. However, he left the door open for other possible moves down the road.</p><p>"I can't say whether or not there will be something more or nothing more," Callahan said. "It's hard for me to make any predictions about that or any statements about it."</p><p>The Titans' coach highlighted cornerbacks <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/210150" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/210150">Marcus Harris</a> and <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/174164" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/174164">Jalyn Armour-Davis</a> as players who will get more opportunities following the trade. <p>Mike Gundy intends to remain the head coach at Oklahoma State for the foreseeable future despite the Cowboys' struggles.</p><p>"I'm under contract, here, for I think three and a half years," Gundy said, per <a href="https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46348022/mike-gundy-vows-keep-coaching-oklahoma-state-2025">ESPN's Eli Lederman</a>. "When I was hired here to take this job, ever since that day, I've put my heart and soul into this, and I will continue to do that until at some point, if I say I don't want to do it or if somebody else says we don't want you to do it."</p><p>Gundy added: "I have the exact same amount of energy that I've had from Day 1 doing this."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Oklahoma State has lost 11 of its past 12 games dating back to the 2024 season. The program hasn't beaten an FBS opponent since toppling Tulsa in September 2024.</p><p>The Cowboys were recently overpowered by Oregon in a 69-3 blowout, just a week after beating UT Martin. Their 19-12 loss against Tulsa last weekend only increased speculation about Gundy's job security.</p><p>Oklahoma State has struggled to put points on the scoreboard and stop opponents to begin the 2025 campaign, averaging 14 points per game while allowing a conference-high 31.7 points.</p><p>The school would owe Gundy $15 million if it dismisses him prior to the conclusion of the 2025 season. Oklahoma State's coach agreed to a restructured contract earlier this year, which included a $1-million pay cut and a reduced buyout.</p><p>However, Gundy said he's confident that most of the Cowboys' issues are "fixable" and doesn't believe change is necessary as they prepare for their Big 12 opener against Baylor on Saturday.</p><p>Gundy has a 170-90 record through 21 seasons with Oklahoma State and a 12-6 mark in bowl games.</p>
