Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow expects to play Sunday against the Houston Texans despite not throwing in practice Wednesday due to back tightness, according to ESPN's Cameron Wolfe.
The quarterback said he experienced the tightness following the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Burrow added that he's not sure how much he'll practice this week but said mental reps will help him prepare.
The three-time Pro Bowler called the idea of sitting out Sunday "ridiculous."
"If I'm not getting surgery, I'm going to be out there," Burrow told reporters, per Wolfe.
A toe injury limited Burrow to eight appearances last season.
The LSU product completed 25 of 35 passes for 254 yards to go along with a touchdown and one interception in the Bengals' 33-27 victory over the Buccaneers.
Cincinnati is looking to start 2-0 for the second straight season.
