New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh appeared to poke fun at Cam Skattebo after the running back went viral for botching his trademark backflip.
"I haven't talked to him yet, I'm going to talk to him, I'm sure," Harbaugh said during an appearance on the "Bleav in Giants" podcast. "My reaction was this: Dude, at least stick it. I mean, land the thing if you're going to do it, you know. That was my first reaction."
Skattebo's failed backflip during an appearance Saturday at Fanatics Fest initially prompted concerns, particularly since the tailback's rookie season had ended early after he dislocated his ankle in October.

Despite Skattebo trending on social media for his poor landing, Harbaugh said he isn't concerned that the 24-year-old won't be ready for when veterans report to training camp on July 28.
"(Skattebo) is going to be ready to go. He's been working super hard," Harbaugh said. "He has really been training like crazy. And his mind is on camp. He's healthy, he's ready to roll, and I can't wait to see him out there at practice."
Skattebo also downplayed the incident in an appearance alongside quarterback Jaxson Dart.
"I'm perfectly fine. Nothing happened, we're good," he said Sunday.
Skattebo provided an immediate boost to the Giants' backfield in his rookie campaign. The Arizona State product racked up 617 scrimmage yards and seven total touchdowns before suffering his season-ending injury.
Skattebo, who averaged 4.1 yards per carry in 2025, returned to the practice field in May under the condition he wouldn't do any backflips, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. However, that didn't stop him from doing one after he hit a home run at the Brian Burns Celebrity Softball Game later that month.
