Ravens sign Jaire Alexander

The Baltimore Ravens are granting Lamar Jackson's wishes.

Baltimore signed two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander on Wednesday, the team announced. Alexander inked a one-year deal worth $6 million in total, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Alexander, 28, became one of the NFL's best corners over seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers. However, he battled several injuries and appeared in only 14 games over the past two seasons. The Packers released him June 9.

The signing of the two-time All-Pro comes a day after Jackson publicly asked Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta to bring in Alexander, a former college teammate of Jackson's at Louisville.

"Go get him, Eric," Jackson told reporters Tuesday.

A visibly excited Jackson welcomed Alexander at the Ravens' facility.

Alexander registered two interceptions, including a pick-6, in seven games in 2024 while allowing an 86.9 passer rating on 30 targets, according to Football Reference. He also had seven pass breakups.

Adding to the cornerback position was a priority for the Ravens this offseason, as they look for a new starter to line up with Nate Wiggins and Marlon Humphrey. Baltimore signed Chidobe Awuzie in March and used a sixth-round pick on Bilhal Kone in April. The club also drafted safety Malaki Starks 25th overall.
