Report: Tua doubtful vs. Browns due to hip injury
The Miami Dolphins are downgrading quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns due to a hip injury, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Tyler Huntley is expected to start if Tagovailoa can't go, though the latter is pushing to play, Schefter adds.
Miami also elevated quarterback Skylar Thompson to the active roster Saturday.
Tagovailoa first suffered the injury in a Week 15 loss to the Houston Texans, according to Schefter. He took another hit to the injured area during last Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers.
The 26-year-old was initially deemed questionable after being a limited participant in all practice sessions ahead of the Browns matchup.
The 7-8 Dolphins are still mathematically in the playoff hunt, but they require help from other teams.
