The Carolina Panthers announced Saturday they placed running back Chuba Hubbard on injured reserve, ending his 2024 campaign.
Hubbard, who was in the midst of a breakout season, underwent an MRI on Friday, which revealed a Grade 2 calf strain.
The Canadian running back accumulated a career-high 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Only five running backs have totaled more rushing yards than Hubbard this season.
Raheem Blackshear and Mike Boone are expected to pick up Hubbard's workload in the backfield over the final two games.
Hubbard had been one of the few bright spots amid a disappointing 4-11 campaign for the Panthers.
