Panthers retain Young despite reported trade interest
The Carolina Panthers retained quarterback Bryce Young as the NFL trade deadline came and went Tuesday.
Multiple teams called to inquire about Young's availability, a source told The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
Young was benched in favor of veteran signal-caller Andy Dalton earlier this season but was forced back into the starting lineup for the last two contests after Dalton sustained a thumb injury in a car crash.
Head coach Dave Canales said Monday that he hasn't decided whether Young or Dalton will start the club's Week 10 matchup against the New York Giants in Germany, according to ESPN's David Newton.
The first overall pick in the 2023 draft has completed 60.2% of his pass attempts for 694 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions in six games (four starts) this season.
