The Miami Dolphins are preparing to start quarterback Tyler "Snoop" Huntley against the New York Jets, head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Wednesday, including The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad.

Starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is expected to be limited in today's practice due to a hip injury that sidelined him for last week's win over the Cleveland Browns, McDaniel added.

Huntley has started four games this season. He's thrown for 602 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception on 61-of-92 passing. The 26-year-old has also tallied 119 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.

The Dolphins will make the playoffs with a win and a Denver Broncos loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are sitting some starters, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
