Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his foot, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Wilkins is expected to be placed on injured reserve following the procedure. The 28-year-old got hurt in the Raiders' matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound defender has recorded 17 tackles, six QB hits, two tackles for loss (TFL), and two sacks in five games with Las Vegas.

Wilkins was playing in his first season with the Raiders after signing a four-year, $110-million contract as a free agent in March. The Clemson alum began his NFL career as a member of the Miami Dolphins, playing for the AFC East franchise from 2019-23.

The 2019 first-round pick tallied 43 TFLs, 20.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles over five campaigns with the Dolphins.

Adam Butler, Nesta Jade Silvera, and Jonah Laulu are options to line up beside John Jenkins along the Raiders' defensive interior.
