ESPN ranks Nussmeier as the No. 4 pocket passer and the 112th overall recruit in 2027.
The SEC is no stranger to Nussmeier. His older brother, Garrett, played quarterback for LSU from 2021 to 2025 and was then selected in the seventh round of the draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
The new Georgia quarterback said in March that he was open to playing anywhere, but his goal was to compete in the SEC.
Along with Nussmeier, Georgia's 2027 recruiting class is headlined by five-star running back Kemon Spell, four-star tight end Jaxon Dollar, and four-star offensive tackle Kelsey Adams.
