EA Sports said in a press release Tuesday that the cover celebrates "the next generation of football stars." Moore passed for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns last season, while Lacy rushed for an SEC-leading 24 touchdowns, and Toney led the ACC in receptions (109), receiving yards (1,211), and receiving touchdowns (10).
The trio graces the third edition of the video game franchise since its return in July 2024. Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Alabama's Ryan Williams were last year's cover stars, while Travis Hunter, Quinn Ewers, and Donovan Edwards made the cover of the 2025 edition.
Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti, who led the Hoosiers to their first national championship last season, headlines the cover of CFB 27's deluxe edition.

CFB 27 doesn't have an official release date yet, though the previous two editions were released in mid-July. EA Sports will reveal more details of the game Thursday.
