Ole Miss flips transfer RB Amos from Colorado

Former Miami (Ohio) running back Rashad Amos flipped his commitment from Colorado to Ole Miss, he told ON3's Hayes Fawcett.

"Finding the best fit isn't a simple task on or off the field," Amos posted Saturday on X. "I've had a lot to consider thus far. So, after speaking on that, I would like to decommit from Colorado!"

Amos led the RedHawks with 13 touchdowns, 1,075 rushing yards, and 5.12 yards per carry last season. The 6-foot-2, 234-pounder's 76.79 rushing yards per game ranked fifth in the MAC in 2023.

Colorado has seen a revolving door at the running back position this offseason. Leading rusher Dylan Edwards and tailback Alton McCaskill transferred out of the program in April.

Ole Miss finds itself with a crowded running back room. The Rebels plucked transfers Henry Parrish and Jacory Croskey-Merritt out of the portal this spring. Ulysses Bentley IV is projected to be the lead halfback after Quinshon Judkins transferred to Ohio State.

Amos began his collegiate career at South Carolina, receiving just 20 carries across three seasons. The Georgia native entered the transfer portal after his lone campaign at Miami (Ohio), and Ole Miss was his third commitment following verbal pledges to Mississippi State and Colorado.
