Former Michigan quarterback Joe Milton announced on social media Monday he's committing to Tennessee, according to Patrick Brown of 247Sports.

Last week, Milton denied previous reports indicating he was transferring to Tennessee, telling Chris Hays of the Orlando Sentinel he was still deciding between the Volunteers and Washington State.

The 21-year-old spent three seasons in Michigan and began 2020 as the Wolverines' starting quarterback. Milton passed for 1,194 yards, completing 56% of his passes for five touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 156 yards and three scores.

The Florida native entered the transfer portal in February. He'll be immediately eligible for 2021 as a graduate transfer and have three years of eligibility left.

Milton joins a tight battle for the starting quarterback spot in Knoxville. Sophomore Brian Maurer and Harrison Bailey have been battling graduate transfer Hendon Hooker for the top spot. Freshman Kaidon Salter is also in the mix this spring but hasn't participated in practice due to a suspension.
