The Big Ten released its revised schedule for the 2021 season on Friday.

The conference will move back to its regular schedule with nine conference games and three non-conference matchups for the upcoming campaign.

The season kicks off Aug. 28 when Nebraska takes on Illinois in Dublin, Ireland. Reigning champions Ohio State will open its season against Minnesota on Sept. 2. Other marquee matchups include Wisconsin taking on Notre Dame at Soldier Field in Chicago and Michigan renewing its rivalry with the Buckeyes in Week 13 after the 2020 clash was canceled due to COVID-19 issues.

The Big Ten played an eight-game schedule in 2020 due to complications from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The conference began last season in October after initially postponing its fall sports season to the spring.

The Big Ten played 50 of 63 scheduled games during a conference-only slate in 2020.

The conference championship game will take place Dec. 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
