The Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Denver Nuggets are among the teams interested in free-agent wing DeMar DeRozan, reports ESPN's Shams Charania.
The Heat are also among several clubs with interest in Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson, Charania adds. Thompson has one more year left on his contract at $17.5 million. The Heat are reportedly open to adding him via trade or signing him if he gets bought out.
Miami, Cleveland, and Denver were also considered in the mix for LeBron James before he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
DeRozan was released by the Sacramento Kings this offseason. The six-time All-Star averaged 18.4 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 77 games last season. He turns 37 in August.
Thompson, 36, averaged 11.7 points while shooting 38.3% from beyond the arc with the Mavericks last season. The four-time NBA champion primarily came off the bench in 2025-26, starting eight of the 69 games he played.
