The Atlanta Hawks are signing head coach Quin Snyder to a multi-year extension, the team announced Monday.

Snyder became the Hawks' coach in 2023 following an eight-year run in the same position with the Utah Jazz.

The 59-year-old helped lead Atlanta to a 46-36 record this season and a spot in the playoffs. The Hawks took the New York Knicks to six games in their first-round series. They remain the most recent team to beat the Knicks after starting the series up 2-1.

Atlanta won 20 of its final 26 regular-season games to secure a postseason berth. Its 46 wins in all were the most that the team has posted since the 2015-16 campaign, while the Hawks' 118.5 points per game ranked sixth in the league.

Snyder's new deal follows Atlanta's promotion of Onsi Saleh to president of basketball operations in late May.
