Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox is expected to miss at least 10-14 days due to health and safety protocols, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Sam Amick.
The Kings are scheduled to play eight games over the next two weeks.
Fox has had a career season for Sacramento, averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 assists, and 1.5 steals over 58 appearances in 2020-21. He also ranks second in the Association in total steals (87) and fifth in free-throw attempts (417).
Rookie Tyrese Haliburton and sixth-year guard Delon Wright will likely split duties at the point during Fox's absence.
Sacramento sits five games back of the Golden State Warriors for the final play-in tournament spot in the West. The Kings hold the NBA's longest active playoff drought.
