Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Luis Arraez had to be helped off the field after suffering an ankle injury while running out a ground ball during Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Phillies said afterward that Arraez suffered a left ankle sprain and will undergo further evaluation, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.
Arraez tried to avoid Brewers first baseman Jake Bauers' tag and turned his leg while reaching to touch the bag. He immediately fell to the ground in pain while grabbing his left leg.

Members of the Phillies' training staff helped Arraez, who was called out on the play for being out of the baseline, off the field, as he couldn't put weight on his leg. Edmundo Sosa replaced him to start the top of the seventh inning; Sosa took over at third base, while Bryson Stott shifted from third to second.
The Phillies acquired Arraez from the San Francisco Giants at the trade deadline. The 29-year-old's .310 average leads the National League, putting him in position to win his fourth career batting title and third in the last five seasons. His 185 hits rank second in the majors.
Arraez owns a .310/.345/.419 slash line in 151 total games this season, though he's hit just .278/.309/.369 over 191 plate appearances with the Phillies.
