Juan Soto is back.
The New York Mets reinstated the star slugger off the injured list Saturday after he missed the last 31 games with a calf injury, the team announced.
Soto will serve as the DH and bat second in his return.

Infielder Eric Wagaman was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Soto was in the midst of another strong offensive campaign before the injury sidelined him in late July. He enters Saturday's game against the Houston Astros hitting .283/.408/.539 with 21 home runs and 52 RBIs in 359 plate appearances this season. He still leads the Mets in homers despite his absence.
