The Colorado Rockies and outfielder Mickey Moniak agreed to a two-year, $16.25-million contract extension that runs through 2028, sources told Thomas Harding and Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
The deal will reportedly become official Tuesday.
Moniak was the subject of trade rumors leading up to Monday's deadline, but he ultimately stayed with the Rockies.
The 28-year-old has hit 17 homers with 47 RBIs and an .863 OPS over 74 games this season.
Moniak has found a home in Colorado after bouncing between the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Angels over the first five years of his career. He was selected first overall by the Phillies in the 2016 draft.
