The Houston Astros reinstated closer Josh Hader from the 60-day injured list, the team announced Tuesday.
Hader, 32, hasn't pitched this season due to shoulder and biceps issues.
The left-hander will join the Astros' bullpen ahead of Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Houston.
Hader pitched to a 2.05 ERA and 13.0 K/9 during an All-Star campaign with the Astros last season.
Houston's bullpen has struggled without Hader available, posting a combined 5.16 ERA that ranks 29th in the majors.
The Astros made a series of other roster moves Tuesday. Infielder Carlos Correa was transferred to the 60-day IL, infielder Braden Shewmake was placed on the 10-day IL with a right adductor strain, outfielder Zach Cole was recalled from Triple-A, and right-hander Logan VanWey was optioned to the minors.
