Braves' Baldwin wins NL Rookie of the Year
Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin was named 2025 National League Rookie of the Year on Monday after receiving 21 first-place votes from members of the BBWAA.
Chicago Cubs right-hander Cade Horton finished second, while Milwaukee Brewers infielder Caleb Durbin came in third.
The 24-year-old Baldwin finished his debut campaign with 19 home runs, 80 RBIs, and an .810 OPS. He led qualified NL rookies in RBIs and fWAR.
"Looking back at the start of the year, I never really thought I was going to be in this position," Baldwin told MLB Network. "Being able to get this is one of the coolest things I've ever had happen."

Baldwin is the fifth Braves players to win Rookie of the Year since 2000, joining Rafael Furcal (2000), Craig Kimbrel (2011), Ronald Acuña Jr. (2018), and Michael Harris II (2022).
Baldwin also joins Earl Williams (1971) as the only catchers in Braves history to receive the honor.
