The New York Mets designated right-handers Adrian Houser and Shintaro Fujinami for assignment, the club announced Friday.

Houser, who the Mets acquired in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers in December, posted a 5.84 ERA with 1.53 WHIP and 45 strikeouts over 69 1/3 innings (seven starts) this season. The 31-year-old authored a 4.00 ERA with 7.3 K/9 across 539 1/3 innings (97 starts) in his first seven years in the majors with the Brewers.

Fujinami never ended up pitching for New York in 2024 after inking a one-year, $3.35-million pact in the offseason. The 30-year-old dealt with injuries and control issues.

The Mets also activated ace Kodai Senga, placed reliever Dedniel Núñez on the 15-day injured list with a right pronator strain, and recalled right-hander Eric Orze.
