Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Alek Manoah underwent a hybrid UCL replacement surgery with an internal brace procedure Monday, manager John Schneider said Tuesday, according to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.
The team added that Manoah's recovery timetable is expected to be 12-14 months, per Scott Mitchell of TSN.
The 26-year-old plans to do his rehab in Toronto and will be back with the club over the next few days, according to Davidi.
Manoah exited a start against the Chicago White Sox on May 29 with right elbow discomfort.
The 2022 AL Cy Young finalist posted a 3.70 ERA with 1.03 WHIP and 26 strikeouts over 24 1/3 innings (five starts) this season.
