The Miami Marlins acquired utility man Nick Gordon from the Minnesota Twins for reliever Steven Okert, the teams announced Sunday.
Gordon will make $900,000 this season after losing his arbitration case.
The 28-year-old is also under team control through the 2027 campaign.
Gordon, the younger brother of former Marlins All-Star Dee Strange-Gordon, played in only 34 games last season after fracturing his tibia in May. However, he went deep nine times with 50 RBIs and a .743 OPS over 136 contests in 2022.
Okert authored a 4.45 ERA with 1.26 WHIP and 73 strikeouts over 64 appearances in 2023. The 32-year-old left-hander posted a 2.89 ERA with 10.6 K/9 over 87 1/3 innings between 2021-22.
