It's the first known positive test for someone who worked at or attended a major-league camp. The New York Yankees already announced that two minor leaguers in their organization tested positive.
The Reds said all staff who came in close contact with the individual at the team's spring training complex in Goodyear, Arizona, from Feb. 29 to March 14 are being tested and have self-quarantined.
After speaking with the employee on Wednesday, Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams said they are feeling better, according to C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic.
Meanwhile, team broadcaster Jim Day said he's awaiting test results and that he's under self-quarantine, reports Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
