Shooting Stars Competition
A quartet of WNBA icons have been paired with four current stars in a nod to the past, present, and future of the league for the Shooting Stars Competition. Hall of Famers Lauren Jackson and Elena Delle Donne, five time-WNBA champion Rebekkah Brunson, and three-time champ Deanna Nolan represent the former players.

Each team will also be assigned a standout high school player from Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL).
The teams will compete in a 70-second timed event that features seven shooting locations around the court. The two teams with the highest scores in the preliminary round will advance to the finals.
3-Point Contest
All-Stars Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream and Marina Mabrey of the Toronto Tempo headline a six-player field that also includes Dallas Wings first overall pick Azzi Fudd. Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride, and defending champion Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty declined invitations to compete, a source told ESPN's Alexa Philippou, although McBride and Ionescu have since said they never received official invites.

Mabrey leads the league with 82 made 3-pointers, followed by Howard (79). Salaun, Carleton, Hiedeman, and Fudd are all ranked in the top 10.
The competition is a timed contest that features five shooting racks and two "From the Logo" deep shots worth three points apiece. The two players with the highest scores advance to the final round.
Both the Shooting Stars Competition and 3-Point Contest will take place at Wintrust Arena, home of the Sky. No Sky players are participating in any All-Star Weekend events.

The All-Star Game has bit of a different feel this year as the WNBA celebrates its 30th season. WNBA icons Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon will serve as general managers for the two All-Star teams. Last season, the two starters with the most fan votes, Clark and Lynx star Napheesa Collier, were selected as team captains.
Wings guard Paige Bueckers and Clark received the most fan votes this year and were assigned to Team Coop and Team Spoon, respectively, based on a coin flip.
Cooper and Weatherspoon split up most of the league's biggest duos in the All-Star draft, including New York's Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones, Indiana's Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, the Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young, and the Washington Mystics' Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen.

The teams will compete for a $100,000 prize pool, with the proceeds benefiting two organizations in Chicago committed to keeping girls involved in sports. The winning team earns $70,000 for their charity, while the losing team will get $30,000.
The All-Star Game will take place at the United Center, home of the NBA's Chicago Bulls.
