<p>The United States unveiled its men's and women's Olympic hockey rosters for the 2026 Winter Games on Friday.</p><h2>Men's team</h2><p>The U.S. men's team came up one goal short at the 4 Nations Face-Off in February. Both were pivotal in ending the USA's 92-year drought at the World Championship in May.</p><p>Thompson has 20 goals and 37 points in 39 games this season with the Buffalo Sabres. The 6-foot-6 sniper tallied the overtime winner for Team USA at the Worlds.</p><p>Keller captained the American team in the spring. The 27-year-old has 13 goals and 36 points in 41 games this year with the Utah Mammoth, coming off a career-best campaign of 90 points a season ago.</p><p>Of the six Americans with 20 or more goals right now, half were left at home: Robertson, DeBrincat, and Caufield.</p><p>Robertson is the NHL's highest-scoring American forward this season. He has 24 goals and 48 points in 41 games with the Dallas Stars.</p><p>Kreider is the only forward who was dropped from the 4 Nations team. Los Angeles Lakers (20-11)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 7</p><p><strong>Buckle down on D:</strong> The Lakers own the Association's eighth-worst defensive rating (117.4). Boston Celtics (20-12)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:<strong> </strong></em>9</p><p><strong>Fortify the frontcourt:</strong> Neemias Queta has been a serviceable starting center, but the Celtics need more depth to capitalize on a wide-open East. Memphis Grizzlies (15-18)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 18</p><p><strong>Get on same page as Ja:</strong> The Grizzlies will only go far as Ja Morant takes them. Kim, who rocketed to superstardom by winning snowboard halfpipe gold as a 17-year-old in PyeongChang, defended her crown four years later in Beijing. But the Brazilian icons' figures include friendlies and probably even games against their kids in the back garden, while Cristiano Ronaldo's current sum of 957 only counts goals from competitive club matches and international fixtures. They're goals that matter.</p><p>It might seem a tough ask for Ronaldo, who turns 41 in February, to reach 1,000 goals in 2026. But Portugal's upcoming friendlies and favorable World Cup draw, plus the fact that he plays in the Saudi Pro League, means one of the sport's all-time greats could actually do it. Ronaldo is "<a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3439776" href="https://thescore.com/news/3439776">sure</a>" he will at some point. Of course he is. - <strong><em>Daniel Rouse</em></strong></p><h3>9. Arch for Heisman? 🏆</h3><p>All eyes will be on Arch Manning when Texas kicks off the 2026 season. The junior quarterback returns after a strong finish to the 2025 campaign, highlighted by clutch wins over Oklahoma and Texas A&amp;M. They've shored up their bullpen with All-Star closer Edwin Díaz and could easily make another big splash this winter. Maybe money does buy happiness? - <strong><em>Tom Ruminski</em></strong></p><h3>7. OKC's pursuit of 74 wins ⚡️</h3><p>The 28-5 Thunder have to be almost perfect the rest of the way to unseat the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors' single-season record of 73 wins. However, that's far from an impossible task for the defending champs. Redemption for Shiffrin ⛷️</h3><p>"Redemption" isn't something you immediately associate with the most decorated athlete in their particular discipline. But that's what Mikaela Shiffrin is seeking at the upcoming Winter Olympics. Arguably the most dominant alpine skier ever, the American was expected to steamroll the competition at Beijing 2022. Clark's return, big WNBA year 🏀</h3><p>All eyes will be on Caitlin Clark next season - assuming the WNBA and the players' union come to terms on a game-changing collective bargaining agreement. Expansion is coming, and fans in underserved markets like Portland, Nashville, or Charlotte might get an MLB team in the near future. Contrasting superstars Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner lifted themselves, and each other, to another level in 2025, engaging in a fascinating duel for the sport's most prestigious titles.</p><p>They split the four Grand Slams in 2025, including Alcaraz's triumph in an epic French Open final that instantly went down as one of the most captivating tennis matches ever played. The Spaniard is looking to complete a career Grand Slam with the year's first major in Australia, where Sinner (of course) is the reigning champion. The rivals are also the biggest obstacle standing in Novak Djokovic's way as he continues to pursue a record-breaking 25th major crown. -<strong><em> Nesci</em></strong></p><h3>17. Will Giannis get traded? 🦌</h3><p>It's hard to believe that Giannis Antetokounmpo is reportedly questioning his future with a franchise that's heavily dependent on Kyle Kuzma for production, but here we are. The two-time MVP's decorated 13-year tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks could end amid reports that he's unhappy with the team's direction. It will be difficult for Makar to outperform his own teammate, but the other three are dark horses to monitor. Knight has proven to be a capable No. 1 in Chicago, but he'll be in tough to earn legitimate Vezina consideration if the Blackhawks miss the postseason. Heiskanen, the runner-up on most of our ballots, is averaging over 26 minutes per night and performing in all situations. He's the only rearguard to be top 10 in overall, shorthanded, and power-play ice time this season, and he's chipped in a respectable 29 points in 34 games.</p><p>Werenski has carried over last year's Norris runner-up form into the 2025-26 campaign, while Seider has emerged as a legitimate candidate. Although he's posted a remarkable .937 save percentage and four shutouts when the Wild have called on him, he needs more playing time to have a chance to knock off Schaefer.</p><p>Sennecke and Demidov, the league's top two rookie scorers, have strong cases to be finalists by season's end. Detroit Pistons (21-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: </em>2</p><p>Detroit's balanced attack features six different players averaging at least double digits in scoring. However, the Pistons rank 28th in made threes (11.3 per game) following the offseason departures of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Malik Beasley.</p><h3><a id="HOU" name="HOU">4. Houston Rockets (16-7)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 4</p><p>The Rockets tend to outmuscle opponents with a league-high 16.2 offensive boards. You'd think that would result in more attempts from deep, but they're last in 3-point attempts despite owning the third-best 3-point shooting percentage (39.9<strong>%</strong>).</p><h3><a id="NYK" name="NYK">5. Los Angeles Lakers (18-7)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 3</p><p>Imagine ever telling a Lakers fan the team will need four-time MVP and 21-time All-Star LeBron James to step up and assume a bigger role amid the absence of the team's second-leading scorer, Austin Reaves. Welcome to the twilight zone.</p><h3><a id="MIN" name="MIN">8. Minnesota Timberwolves (17-9)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 13</p><p>Rudy Gobert is in a festive mood, averaging 15.2 points, 11 boards, two assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals while shooting a ridiculous 80% from the floor in December, missing only nine of his 45 field-goal attempts this month.</p><h3><a id="BOS" name="BOS">9. Boston Celtics (15-11)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 17</p><p>After going 7-3 over its last 10, Boston's suddenly just a handful of games off the East's peak. Jordan Walsh is further cementing himself in the rotation; he's averaging 27 minutes over his last seven games with shooting splits of 76.6/64.7/88.2.</p><h3><a id="PHI" name="PHI">10. Ideally, the Magic's more balanced roster this season will help them manage while Wagner recovers.</p><h3><a id="PHX" name="PHX">12. Phoenix Suns (14-12)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 14</p><p>After a hot November stretch, Phoenix has now dropped six of its last nine, including this season's NBA-worst 49-point defeat to the Thunder. Devin Booker's return gave them hope against the Lakers, but Dillon Brooks' late ejection spoiled that.</p><h3><a id="CLE" name="CLE">13. Cleveland Cavaliers (15-12)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 12</p><p>The hits keep on coming for Kenny Atkinson's squad. Evan Mobley, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, is sidelined for two-to-four weeks on top of injuries to Larry Nance Jr., Max Strus, and Sam Merrill. The best ability remains availability for the Cavs.</p><h3><a id="ATL" name="ATL">14. Atlanta Hawks (15-12)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 9</p><p>Jalen Johnson has blossomed during Trae Young's absence. Golden State Warriors (13-14)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 16</p><p>Jonathan Kuminga is eligible to be traded Jan. 15 after signing a two-year, $48.5-million contract in September, and three consecutive DNPs aren't doing much to boost the polarizing forward's value. This entire situation has been mismanaged.</p><h3><a id="MEM" name="MEM">18. Memphis Grizzlies (12-14)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 19</p><p>The Grizzlies went 7-3 during Ja Morant's spell on the sidelines, and Zach Edey deserves a lot of the credit, having improved nearly every facet of his game. Now, it's up to Morant and Co. to weather the storm in Edey's absence.</p><h3><a id="DAL" name="DAL">19. Dallas Mavericks (10-17)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 24</p><p>The Mavs are turning things around with Anthony Davis back in the lineup. It's unclear if Davis will remain in Dallas for the long haul amid trade rumors, but he's given the team a boost with his low-post scoring, rim protection, and secondary playmaking.</p><h3><a id="MIL" name="MIL">20. Utah Jazz (10-15)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 23</p><p>Only two teams roster multiple scorers averaging over 26 points in December: The Nuggets have Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, and the Jazz have Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George. The latter is on a tear this month and has dropped 39 and 37 points in back-to-back games.</p><h3><a id="POR" name="POR">23. Portland Trail Blazers (10-16)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 21</p><p>Portland's acquisition of Deni Avdija from the Washington Wizards in July 2024 has been a home run. The 24-year-old forward is one of only four players in the Association averaging at least 25 points, seven boards, and six assists.</p><h3><a id="CHA" name="CHA">24. Charlotte Hornets (8-18)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 22</p><p>While it hasn't translated into many wins, the Hornets can relish a savvy draft that resulted in the recruitment of Rookie of the Year candidate Kon Knueppel, Ryan Kalkbrenner, Sion James, and Liam McNeeley. Sacramento Kings (6-20)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 25</p><p>It's incredible to think that ex-Kings general manager Monte McNair saw the flaws of the DeMar DeRozan-Zach LaVine tandem in Chicago and decided it would somehow work in Sacramento. Spoiler alert: It hasn't, and now it's Scott Perry's mess to clean up.</p><h3><a id="LAC" name="LAC">28. Los Angeles Clippers (6-20)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 27</p><p>The fallout from their sudden split with Chris Paul was the last thing the Clippers needed. But don't let that distract you from the team's defensive struggles. Los Angeles is allowing the third-most fast-break points per game (17.5) this season.</p><h3><a id="NOP" name="NOP">29. New Orleans Pelicans (5-22)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 29</p><p>Zion Williamson is back after the Pelicans went 1-5 without him. They're now 3-13 when he doesn't play but also just 2-9 when he does. Trading Trey Murphy III to recoup draft assets for 2026 and beyond is arguably New Orleans' only recourse.</p><h3><a id="WAS" name="WAS">30. Dallas Stars (18-5-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 10</em></p><p><strong>Sam Steel</strong>.<strong> </strong>The offensive numbers are nothing to write home about, but Steel has served as a steadying defensive presence up front for the Stars. He's averaging over 17 minutes per night, ranking fifth among Dallas forwards.</p><h3><a id="TBL" name="TBL">3. Tampa Bay Lightning (16-8-2)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 7</em></p><p><strong>J.J. Moser</strong>.<strong> </strong>The Swiss blue-liner has been vital to the Lightning's success, stepping up amid numerous absences on the back end. Moser has averaged 23:48 since Nov. 15, while Tampa Bay has gone 8-2-0 over that stretch despite missing Victor Hedman and Ryan McDonagh during that time.</p><h3><a id="CAR" name="CAR">4. Carolina Hurricanes (16-7-2)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 5</em></p><p><strong>Alexander Nikishin</strong>. Carolina's had high hopes for the Russian rearguard since drafting him in 2020, and he's making a strong impact in his rookie year. Nikishin has chipped in nine points, averages nearly 20 minutes per game, and leads the team as a plus-15.</p><h3><a id="MIN" name="MIN">5. However, the 23-year-old has erased all doubt. Proving why he was touted as among the league's best goalie prospects for years, he's put together an unreal 8-0-2 run this season, highlighted by four shutouts.</p><h3><a id="WSH" name="WSH">6. Washington Capitals (17-9-2)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 16</em></p><p><strong>Tom Wilson</strong>.<strong> </strong>Even into his 30s, Wilson somehow keeps getting better and better. The hulking power forward hasn't lost any bite to his game, but he's playing at a 88-point pace - a mark that would shatter his previous career high of 65, set last season.</p><h3><a id="NJD" name="NJD">7. New Jersey Devils (16-10-1)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 4</em></p><p><strong>Arseny Gritsyuk</strong>. The Calder Trophy race is crowded this year, but Gritsyuk is on track to get some downballot attention. He's notched 13 points this campaign and hasn't looked out of place in a top-six role.</p><h3><a id="VGK" name="VGK">8. Vegas Golden Knights (12-6-8)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 3</em></p><p><strong>Braeden Bowman</strong>. An unheralded rookie, Bowman has collected nine points in his first 11 NHL games after going undrafted. He's out-produced the likes of William Karlsson, Reilly Smith, and Brandon Saad so far this season.</p><h3><a id="ANA" name="ANA">9. Anaheim Ducks (16-10-1)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 13</em></p><p><strong>Leo Carlsson</strong>.<strong> </strong>Anaheim went against consensus by taking Carlsson with the No. 2 pick in 2023, and it sure looks like a great call. The 20-year-old has blossomed in his third NHL season and looks like the kind of dominant power center every team dreams of. Carlsson is likely to star as Sweden's top-line center at the Olympics after being scratched for most of the 4 Nations Face-Off.</p><h3><a id="LAK" name="LAK">10. Pittsburgh Penguins (13-7-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 15</em></p><p><strong>Ben Kindel</strong>.<strong> </strong>The Penguins' selection of Kindel at 11th overall was among the most surprising picks in the first round of June's draft. He's immediately proven Pittsburgh correct by sticking in the NHL as the youngest forward in the league. Kindel looks like a key piece for the Penguins for many years to come.</p><h3><a id="PHI" name="PHI">12. Philadelphia Flyers (15-8-3)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 25</em></p><p><strong>Trevor Zegras</strong>.<strong> </strong>He has his mojo back. Zegras is playing with confidence again after a tough couple of seasons in Anaheim, and he's added much-needed offensive creativity for the Flyers. He's still only 24 years old and looks to be back as a legit first-line producer.</p><h3><a id="BOS" name="BOS">13. Boston Bruins (15-13-0)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 27</em></p><p><strong>Morgan Geekie</strong>. The 27-year-old was tabbed as a prime candidate for regression following an unexpected 33-goal season, but Geekie has responded with 20 goals in 28 games. The Bruins appear to have struck gold with the winger.</p><h3><a id="FLA" name="FLA">14. Florida Panthers (12-12-1)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 11</em></p><p><strong>Brad Marchand</strong>.<strong> </strong>Even with the injuries to Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk, did anyone see Marchand being the one to lead the way for Florida? The 37-year-old is scoring goals at a career-high clip in his 17th season.</p><h3><a id="OTT" name="OTT">15. Montreal Canadiens (14-9-3)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 6</em></p><p><strong>Oliver Kapanen</strong>. The 22-year-old has been thrust into Montreal's second-line center role and looks capable of being a long-term NHLer. Kapanen has 14 points in 25 games, while the Canadiens are outscoring opponents at five-on-five with him on the ice.</p><h3><a id="NYR" name="NYR">17. New York Rangers (14-12-2)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 17</em></p><p><strong>Noah Laba</strong>.<strong> </strong>Third-line center was New York's biggest question mark entering the season, but the 22-year-old rookie has filled the role quite adequately. Laba's averaging 13 minutes a night, posting strong underlying numbers and winning 50.4% of his faceoffs.</p><h3><a id="NYI" name="NYI">18. New York Islanders (14-10-3)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 22</em></p><p><strong>Matthew Schaefer</strong>.<strong> </strong>The conversation around Schaefer before the season was whether he would play at the world juniors. Now, it's about whether he'll make Canada's Olympic team. No player's stock has risen more this campaign than Schaefer, whose unbelievable play at 18 years old cannot be overstated. If he were born 10 days later, he wouldn't have been eligible until the 2026 draft!</p><h3><a id="EDM" name="EDM">19. Edmonton Oilers (11-11-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 12</em></p><p><strong>Jack Roslovic</strong>. There were a lot of questions about why Roslovic took so long to sign as an unrestricted free agent, but he's proved his worth with 10 goals in 23 games. Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid are the only Oilers with more tallies this season.</p><h3><a id="DET" name="DET">20. Columbus Blue Jackets (12-9-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 18</em></p><p><strong>Jet Greaves</strong>. The 24-year-old netminder is proving his late-season magic from 2024-25 was no fluke. He's given the Blue Jackets above-average goaltending with a .905 save percentage and 8.06 goals saved above expected.</p><h3><a id="CHI" name="CHI">22. Chicago Blackhawks (11-9-6)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 26</em></p><p><strong>Connor Bedard</strong>. The hockey world has been collectively waiting for Bedard to arrive, and, boy, has he ever. Even the most optimistic preseason prognosticators would be surprised at the 20-year-old sitting third in league scoring at this point in the season.</p><h3><a id="WPG" name="WPG">23. Winnipeg Jets (13-12-1)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 2</em></p><p><strong>Nino Niederreiter</strong>. The Jets' depth scoring is severely lacking - outside of Niederreiter. He's on pace for 47 points, which would be the highest total of his career since 2018-19.</p><h3><a id="SEA" name="SEA">24. Seattle Kraken (11-7-6)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 21</em></p><p><strong>Philipp Grubauer</strong>. His tenure with the Kraken has been a disaster, but Grubauer's finally providing some quality goaltending to the team that handed him a $35.4-million contract in 2021. Grubauer has a .912 save percentage in six games after starting the season in the AHL. Maybe that was the wake-up call he needed.</p><h3><a id="UTA" name="UTA">25. Toronto Maple Leafs (12-11-3)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 14</em></p><p><strong>Oliver Ekman-Larsson</strong>. The 34-year-old has been a bright spot for the Maple Leafs amid a lackluster first quarter. Ekman-Larsson just concluded a nine-game point streak and has a point in 12 of his last 14 contests.</p><h3><a id="SJS" name="SJS">27. San Jose Sharks (13-12-3)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 31</em></p><p><strong>Macklin Celebrini</strong>. We knew after Celebrini's rookie campaign that he was a special talent. But his evolution into one of the league's top offensive producers at just 19 years old is remarkable - the kind of step only the generational talents take.</p><h3><a id="BUF" name="BUF">28. Buffalo Sabres (11-12-4)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 23</em></p><p><strong>Josh Doan</strong>. Although he was the least appealing name in the JJ Peterka trade, Doan has been a terrific fit in Buffalo. The 23-year-old ranks third on the Sabres with 19 points despite averaging only 15 minutes per contest.</p><h3><a id="STL" name="STL">29. St. Louis Blues (9-11-7)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 29</em></p><p><strong>Jake Neighbours</strong>. It's a shame Neighbours missed 12 games with a leg injury earlier in the campaign because he's been great when healthy, racking up six goals and four assists in 15 appearances.</p><h3><a id="CGY" name="CGY">30. Vancouver Canucks (10-14-3)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 24</em></p><p><strong>Kiefer Sherwood</strong>. The Canucks entered the year knowing they had a good piece in Sherwood, but he's emerged as one of Vancouver's best players with 12 goals this season and unmatched physicality. If Vancouver had gotten off to a better start, it would've been looking to extend the winger instead of trading him.</p><h3><a id="NSH" name="NSH">32. Nashville Predators (9-13-4)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: 30</em></p><p><strong>Matthew Wood</strong>. The 20-year-old has tallied seven goals and 11 points through 19 games this campaign as a rookie. Wood isn't playing a massive role yet, but the fact that he's been able to stick in the NHL rather than requiring AHL time is a positive for a Predators team that has a lot of negatives.</p>

Detroit Pistons (17-4)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 3</p><p><strong>Caris LeVert:</strong> It's not LeVert's fault that he's been tasked with running the Pistons' second unit as a point guard, though it's abundantly clear that he's more adept at being a secondary ball-handler. A trade looms for the veteran guard.</p><h3><a id="LAL" name="LAL">3. Los Angeles Lakers (15-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 4</p><p><strong>Gabe Vincent:</strong> Vincent's strong showing during the Miami Heat's 2023 Finals run earned him a three-year, $33-million contract with the Lakers. But the seventh-year guard has struggled with injuries throughout his L.A. tenure and hasn't delivered the same offensive punch when available. </p><h3><a id="HOU" name="HOU">4. Houston Rockets (13-5)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 5</p><p><strong>Alperen Sengun:</strong> Though elite offensively, Sengun's defensive limitations remain perceptible. The 23-year-old center's too easily burned on switches, and his poor timing neutralizes him as a rim-protector. It's no surprise Houston's defense is at its best (102.6 defensive rating) when he sits.</p><h3><a id="DEN" name="DEN">5. New York Knicks (13-7)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 6</p><p><strong>Jordan Clarkson:</strong> He was supposed to boost the Knicks' bench, but he's averaging career lows in points (10.2) and minutes (19.4). Those might temporarily rise in Landry Shamet's absence but could shrink again if New York acquires a backup point guard.</p><h3><a id="TOR" name="TOR">7. Toronto Raptors (15-7)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 13</p><p><strong>Gradey Dick:</strong> The Raptors are 25th in made threes and 27th in attempts from deep. Dick's career-low 3-point percentage (31.3%) and scoring (6.9) haven't provided the punch off the bench that was expected from the third-year perimeter threat.</p><h3><a id="SAS" name="SAS">8. San Antonio Spurs (14-6)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 7</p><p><strong>Jeremy Sochan:</strong> Sochan's role is dwindling after starting 149 games in his first three NBA seasons. The former No. 9 overall pick is a talented multi-positional defender, but his lack of offensive development is preventing him from getting more minutes.</p><h3><a id="MIA" name="MIA">9. Miami Heat (14-7)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 17</p><p><strong>Nikola Jovic:</strong> Since a career-high 29 points against Portland on Nov. 8, Jovic's form has fallen off a cliff. He's averaging 3.3 points on 25.8% shooting in six games since. Miami also won five straight while he was out with a hip impingement.</p><h3><a id="ATL" name="ATL">10. Orlando Magic (13-8)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 16</p><p><strong>Desmond Bane:</strong> While Orlando's blockbuster trade for Bane hasn't been disastrous, it's safe to say they expected more from him. Bane was supposed to solve the Magic's long-standing floor-spacing issues, but he's only making a career-low 32.4% of his 3-point attempts.</p><h3><a id="CLE" name="CLE">12. Cleveland Cavaliers (13-9)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 8</p><p><strong>Darius Garland</strong><strong>:</strong> Finding a rhythm was always going to be difficult for Garland due to his disruptive toe injury, but the Cavs are leaking buckets with him back. Cleveland's allowing a team-worst 120.6 points per 100 possessions with him on the court.</p><h3><a id="MIN" name="MIN">13. Minnesota Timberwolves (13-8)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 12</p><p><strong>Rob Dillingham:</strong> The second-year guard was expected to take the next step, but he's shooting 35.3% from the field and 31.6% from deep. The T-Wolves' offensive rating when Dillingham's on the floor is a dismal 102.1 versus 120.5 when he sits.</p><h3><a id="PHX" name="PHX">14. Phoenix Suns (13-9)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 14</p><p><strong>Nick Richards:</strong> Richards' rebounding numbers are down significantly, although Phoenix's backup center has always been known for his high energy on the glass. The Suns could use his presence on the boards - they rank 22nd in rebounds.</p><h3><a id="PHI" name="PHI">15. Golden State Warriors (11-11)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 11</p><p><strong>Buddy Hield:</strong> Hield's pure scoring impact should theoretically outweigh his poor defense, but that hasn't been the case this year. His 3-point shooting is at a career-low 30%, which only magnifies a defensive rating of 117 that ranks second worst on Golden State.</p><h3><a id="BOS" name="BOS">17. Boston Celtics (12-9)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 20</p><p><strong>Luka Garza:</strong> Opponents are <a href="https://www.nba.com/stats/players/defense-dash-overall?TeamID=1610612738&amp;dir=D&amp;sort=D_FG_PCT">shooting</a> 51.5% when they attack Garza directly, the worst defended field-goal percentage of any Celtic, compared to 49.6% otherwise. As he's the only center on the main roster behind Neemias Queta, that's a glaring issue.</p><h3><a id="CHI" name="CHI">18. Chicago Bulls (9-11)</a></h3><p><em>Previous:</em> 18</p><p><strong>Coby White:</strong> It might seem harsh to criticize White, who has been good on the offensive end, but his 111.7 defensive rating is the lowest among a sieve of a starting five and not compatible with Billy Donovan's attempts to establish a defensive-minded team.</p><h3><a id="MEM" name="MEM">19. Memphis Grizzlies (9-13)</a></h3><p><em>Previous: </em>24</p><p><strong>Ja Morant:</strong> When they dealt Bane, the Grizzlies were adamant that it wasn't the first step in a rebuild. They might regret that decision now that Morant is embroiled in a career-defining debacle. Good luck getting fair value for damaged goods.</p><h3><a id="MIL" name="MIL">20.
