Sue Bird endorses Clark for WNBA Rookie of the Year
Women's basketball legend Sue Bird said Caitlin Clark is most deserving of taking home WNBA Rookie of the Year honors this season.
Bird, who retired from the WNBA following the 2022 season, threw her support behind the Indiana Fever star for the award during a recent panel discussion with girlfriend Megan Rapinoe.
"For Rookie of the Year, I don't really do the stat comparison," Bird said. "And yeah, it can help inform things when it's tight, for sure. I don't do the records. I just do the eye test, and to me, (Clark is) Rookie of the Year."
Bird also had praise for Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese.
"Two truths: They can both be good. They can both be having great years," she said of Reese and Clark.
